1. Addition Public Unemployment Insurance, employees are also supported in vocational training when needed.
When participating in the Public Unemployment Insurance policy, workers are entitled to receive unemployment benefits amounting to 60% of the average salary from the six months preceding their job loss. Additionally, workers will also receive job counseling support and vocational training costs of up to 9 million VND.
To be eligible for vocational training support, workers must meet the following conditions:
• Terminate the labor contract in accordance with the law. This provision does not apply to workers who have retired;
• Have submitted a claim for unemployment benefits at the job service center;
• Have not found employment within 15 days after submitting the claim for unemployment insurance. This provision does not apply to the following cases:
+ Performing military service or police duties;
+ Pursuing a scheduled educational program lasting at least 12 months;
+ Enforced placement in reformatories, compulsory education institutions, or compulsory rehabilitation facilities;
+ Being temporarily detained, serving a prison sentence;
+ Emigrating for settlement purposes; working abroad under a contract;
+ Deceased.
• Have paid Public Unemployment Insurance, for at least 9 months within the 24 months preceding the termination of the labor contract in accordance with the law.

2. Vocational training support for workers
The level of vocational training support for workers is determined as follows:
• For those participating in training courses lasting up to 3 months: Support is provided based on the tuition fees and actual training duration. The maximum support amount is not more than 4.500.000 VND (a person per training course).
• For those participating in training courses lasting more than 3 months: Support is calculated on a monthly basis, based on the tuition fees and actual training duration. The maximum support amount is not more than 1.500.000 VND per person per month.
In cases where workers participate in vocational training courses that have remaining odd days which do not constitute a full month… The calculation of odd days is as follows:
• From 14 days or less, it is counted as 1/2 month (half a month);
• From 15 days or more, it is counted as 1 month.
